２００１年に債務不履行（デフォルト）に陥ったアルゼンチンが３０日、債務利払い（８億３２００万ドル＝約８４０億円）の期限を迎えた。

　同日中に支払えなければ３０日間の猶予期間に入る見通しだ。債権者である米投資ファンドなどとの交渉は難航している模様で、再度のデフォルトを回避できるかは微妙な状況だ。

米サンフランシスコ市で２９日、同性愛者やその支持者たちが市内の目抜き通りを歩いて権利を訴える年に１度の大規模なパレードがあり、地元メディアなどによると、１０万人以上が集まった。

３０日に公開された２０１３年の国会議員の所得報告に基づき、政党別に平均を比較したところ、２６７２万円の自民党がトップとなった。

　自民党が首位となるのは、０６年分の所得報告以来、７年ぶり。所属する鳩山邦夫元総務相の個人所得が過去最高の２９億３７５７万円にのぼり、党平均全体を押し上げた格好だ。

自民、公明両党は１日午前、国会内で「安全保障法制整備に関する与党協議会」（座長・高村正彦自民党副総裁）を開き、集団的自衛権行使を限定的に容認する憲法解釈見直しなどに関する政府の閣議決定案について正式合意した。

The European Union signed a historic free trade pact with Ukraine on Friday and warned it could impose more sanctions on Moscow unless pro-Russian rebels act to wind down the crisis in the east of the country by Monday.

Shortly after returning to Kiev from Brussels where he signed the pact, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced on his website that Ukraine had extended a cease-fire by government forces against pro-Russian separatist rebels by 72 hours until 10 p.m. on Monday.

A construction crew found a WWII era unexploded bomb in Onoyama Park in Naha, Tuesday. The JGSDF Bomb Disposal Unit removed the dud in the afternoon on the same day.

The bomb was removed starting 3 p.m. causing an evacuation of 110 residents from an area within 160 meters from the site. The evacuation started at 2:30 and the work was completed by 4 p.m.

The Okinawa Meteorological Observatory is predicting that Okinawa is likely to experience abnormally hot days for a week beginning Saturday.

The Observatory has issued a warning for high temperatures and say there is a 30% chance that the mercury is likely to soar higher than average, and that the heat wave is likely to last at least a week. Officials at the observatory urge people to take appropriate precautions when engaging in outdoor activities. They also urge the elderly to make sure that their air conditioning or electric fans are in working order to avoid the risk of a heat stroke.

18 of 20 bands to perform at the 32nd Peaceful Love Rock Festival have been selected. This year’s lineup also includes bands from Korea and Taiwan.

Performers for the last two slots are going to be decided after an audition on June 21st.

Naha Police arrested 67-year-old, unemployed Yoshihiko Tomori on suspicion of an attempting to murder a 50-year-old friend by stabbing him with a knife, on Sunday.

According to Naha City Police Tomori is denying the charges saying, “It wasn’t my intention to kill him”. The victim was stabbed on the side of his neck, and shoulders, but none of his injuries are life threatening.

There are many factors leading to a high divorce rate in Okinawa, but one reason is that Okinawa holds one of highest poverty rates in Japan. Some people see a reason to celebrate their divorce and newly found freedom.

As the rainy season keeps going on, heavy rains have caused several landslides, and road cave-ins on Okinawa main and surrounding islands.

A landslide and road cave-in took place on Iheya Island, Sunday afternoon after a daylong heavy rain. According to Motobu Police, about two-meter high and thirty-meter wide riverbank in Gakiya, Iheya, had collapsed into a river.
